Return Policy

For items ordered online and shipped directly to you a Return Authorization Number or RA# is required for all returns, any item returned without an RA# will not be considered for return or credit.

For all items ordered online and picked up, or purchased directly at any of our stores, a Return Authorization Number is not required but still falls under the return policy outlined below.

Items ordered in error:

For all returns – please contact our customer service department via e-mail at orders@bow.com or call us at 1-800-262-8799 within 30 days of receipt of the item. We will need the following information in order to expedite the return process:

Name on the order / Invoice date / Invoice number / reason for return

Unless noted below, BOW will accept items ordered in error that are being returned in their original, unopened package, and in new condition within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. Customer is responsible for pre-paying all return freight charges, items returned freight collect will be rejected and returned to sender. BOW cannot accept returns after 30 days from date of purchase.

Any item returned in less than new condition or without all packaging and components will be subject to a processing fee, to be determined after the item has been inspected.

Items not returnable:

  • Any Special Order item.
  • Cut items such as wire, hose, rope, chain, cable
  • Items registered or certified including but not Limited to: Outboard motors, EPIRB’s, PLB’s, life rafts
  • Personal use items
  • Items made for consumption
  • Flares
  • Electrical Items, Equipment with Electrical Components
  • Electronics and Electronic Charts
  • Semi-Custom and Custom Boat Covers
  • Gel Coat
  • Software

Items damaged in shipment:

BOW makes every attempt to pack and ship every order to prevent items from getting damaged in transit. Every order leaves our facility in its original packaging and in new condition. We cannot be responsible for damage that occurs once it leaves our facility. In the event that your item(s) is/are damaged in shipment, please notify us as soon as possible, but in no event later than 3 business days so we can assist you in making a claim to the freight carrier.

Items shipped incorrectly:

BOW makes every attempt to ship every order with 100% accuracy, but we are human and could make a mistake. In the event that you receive the wrong item, please contact us immediately, but not later than 10 business days after receiving the item at orders@bow.com or by phone at 1-800-262-8799 and we’ll get you the right item, or issue a refund, whichever you prefer.

Defective items within 30 days of purchase:

Items that have a manufacturers defect and were purchased within 30 days will be replaced or refunded, whichever you prefer.

Defective items after 30 days:

All items sold by BOW carry a manufacturers warranty. In the event that an item purchased from BOW becomes defective more than 30 days after purchase, we will be glad to assist you with making a warranty claim to the manufacturer. Please do not return the item to BOW until after you have contacted us at orders@bow.com or by phone at 1-800-262-8799, as each manufacturer has their own policies and procedures for handling warranty claims.

Refunds:

All refunds for returns with a receipt and within 30 days of purchase will be made to the original form of payment, if the original form of payment was cash, a company check will be mailed to the address provided by the customer within 10 days of the return being approved, if the customer desires an immediate refund, a store credit can be issued immediately upon approval.

or all returns between 31 – 90 days from date of purchase, refund will be issued in the form of a BOW store credit. BOW cannot accept returns after 90 days from date of purchase. BOW reserves the right to assess a restocking fee of up to 50% for any new item still in its original package, that is returned without a receipt.

BOW reserves the right:

BOW reserves the right to refuse service to any person or persons that we believe are abusing any BOW policy or employee, including but not limited to:

  • attempting to return an item you did not purchase from BOW
  • attempting to return an item without proof of purchase
  • excessive returns (this will be determined at BOW’s discretion)
  • getting physically or verbally abusive with any BOW team member or customer
